How to create sparks in After Effects that can be added to footage or motion graphics.

Make a new layer and add a CC Particle Word
Change CC Particle World properties: birth rate, longevity, radius x and y, gravity, particle colour
Add a glow effect and duplicate
Change the transfer mode to add
Add to your shot/scene

Change properties (particle size, particle colour, birth rate) of the CC particle World to make the sparks fit to your needs
Add them on to live footage or motion graphics.
